Arts & Crafts Video Three: Ragdale and Second PResbyterian Church: A Synergy of Howard Van Doren Shaw

Howard Van Doren Shaw's summer home, Ragdale in Lake Forest, Illinois and the sanctuary at the National Historic Landmark Second Presbyterian Church are both done in the Arts & Crafts Movement architectural style. Both structures were completed between 1897 to 1901 at the height of the American Arts & Crafts Movement. Shaw took most of his inspiration for each structure from the his trips to England and the English Arts and Crafts period. Found how a rose and a pomegranate have a king and queen in common.
