By becoming a member of Friends of Historic Second Church you are supporting our efforts to preserve and restore Chicago’s only National Historic Landmark church. You are also supporting community outreach programs to provide:

  • Tours to thousands of individuals and guests each year including school children, senior citizens, international guests and more;

  • Stimulating lectures that shed light on the history of the South Loop, the Arts and Crafts movement, and the artists who created this beautiful church;

  • Events celebrating Chicago history, music and culture;

  • Training to individuals from all walks of life who enroll in docent training to learn about the art and architecture of the church and then share that knowledge with others; 

  • Historical research into the history of the individuals connected with the church, the materials used to build the church, and the history of the church and surrounding community.
