Online - Gamble House Tour Revisited

We’re bringing back one of our most popular events of the last year for a limited time only. We are offering the video recording of the tour online. Watch as we take you through the Gamble House one more time!

The Gamble House in Pasadena, California, is a 1908 masterwork of the Arts & Crafts movement, designed by Greene & Greene as a winter home for David and Mary Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio. The house is a National Historic Landmark presenting an integration of architecture, landscape, and furnishings. The house’s decorative arts represent the pinnacle of the American Arts and Crafts movement. The woodwork (both architectural and in the furniture) and the art glass windows and light fixtures are unique features designed by the architects to produce what Charles Greene later called “architecture as a fine art.” Using virtual tour technology, we will be hosted by the house’s Director of Collections and Interpretation, Jennifer Trotoux. With her long history with the house and expertise in preservation and architectural history, she will set out the historic context of the house and then guide our virtual walk-through.
